In Memory of Misty 11-2002 ~ 8-2016
Misty was one of my last 2 cats who was very Earthquake Sensitive
If there was something happening and I was not sure about it, all I had to do was watch Misty. He was never wrong, especially about Oregon.
You came into my life as a poor lost cat , fourteen years ago.
I picked you up and took you home, I already loved you so
You had a brother Shadow, we lost him 3 years ago
But you stayed on a while because, it wasn’t time for you to go
You were always the gentle one, with sisters Emmy and Sabrina too
They would curl up and sleep by you as Shadow and Arby used to do
Our years together were cut short, but we made 14 in all
Today you heard your brother Shadow’s voice, and you answered his “come home “ call
I will miss your warm body as you’d lay Down to sleep my me, but this was something, even I did not foresee
You were in pain and hurting and I loved you so, I had to make the decision, it was time to let you go.
You came to me in the wee hours today and sat upon my lap, you watched me sleeping and woke me with a gentle tap
You said its time, I need to go, please attend to this final task. I loved you so, I said I would do exactly what you ask
We talked it over, you and I and you said “ There is no fear “ I said goodbye through my tears as I held you near
You were so good, and trusted me to end your pain, so I kept the promise I made to you as my tears fell down like rain
You are free now to run and climb and play, to sleep and roll in sunshine every single day
Shadow, Arby and sister Emmy were waiting, what an awesome sight
Grandma is smiling in her chair, as she holds you close tonight.

Your words brought tears to my eyes. I remember when my “Kitty” (as she was named) decided it was her time to go. We had so much Love between us, but there comes a time for everything and I had to say “Goodbye”. Love never ends, and life goes on. Thanks for your powerful words ……. Dixie

Your words brought tears to my eyes. I said “Goodbye” to my “Kitty” (her actual name) in 2008. We shared a special Love, but there is a time when they need to leave. It’s difficult to accept, but we all must leave at some point.

And God asked Misty’s Spirit
Are you ready to come home and join your family on the other side?
Oh, yes, I am replied dear Misty
I am a very independent cat and most able to decide anything for myself
Are you coming then asked God?
Soon, replied the whiskered earthquake sensitive feline
But I will be along soon… I am coming slowly
For my Human Family love me and need me too
But don’t they understand? asked God.
That you’ll never leave them?
That your Souls are intertwined for all eternity.
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand replied sweet Misty
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just Am…forever and ever and ever till we all meet again.
